D's Review:
I am a sucker for recapturing lost love stories and Second Chance Love was a great reunited lovers story.
Teegan fled town years ago after Liam broke her heart. She has returned to her hometown a broken woman, just needing to heal and get back on her feet. She knew she would run into Liam eventually but never guessed it would be so soon and wasn't prepared for the feelings seeing him again stirred up. Liam never stopped loving Teegan and is determined to win her back no matter what it takes. Unfortunately, he not only has to make her forgive what happened years ago, he has to help build her trust in men again, which is made harder by an ex casual girlfriend. The secondary characters, including adorable children are great and I loved how they helped bring these broken lovers together. It was nice seeing Teegan fight the attraction and not just believe the pretty words Liam threw at her. There is some action towards the end that adds to the story and proves how strong Liam's feelings are for Teegan. The ending is touching and the epilogue it hot and sweet. Liam is incredibly sexy and sweet, my eyes teared up for him a few times.
I really liked the flashbacks JL put in the story, seeing the strong love between Liam and Teegan when they were younger and what actually happened to tear them apart, made it easier to believe how quickly they decide to be friends when she returned.
Second Chance Love is a fairly short story, but it has plenty of emotion and steamy smexin' in it. If you are looking for a sweet, short romantic story, I recommend giving Second Chance Love a try.
I look forward to Women of Digby 2, and hope to see Colby somewhere in the future.
